There is NO Such Thing as Time Management

You are in charge of your time.
You are in charge of your time.

Let’s get this straight from the beginning.  There is NO such thing as time management.  We need to start off on the right foot and trust me, this is it.  I am not trying to be coy here or play with you.  You cannot control time – time is the great equalizer.  There are 24 hours in every day for every person on this earth.  So when you think you can control time, you are setting yourself up for failure.

Soooo, if you can’t manage time and you still need to get stuff done, what do you do?  Manage yourself within the context of time. It’s an important distinction because the only thing you DO control is yourself.

Here’s how it looks:  When you say, “I didn’t have enough time to complete that” or “I have more ‘to-do list’ than I have time in the day”, what you are really saying is, “I chose to do other things” or “I didn’t gauge how long things would take to do”.

The good news is that the power to change lies in yourself.  If time management really is about something you can’t control aka time, then you really are screwed. If you can make choices and changes to get the results you want, you will have accelerated success.

  1. If there is 24 hours a day for every single individual and we look out for all possible means to get that 24 hours utilized in proper means then I believe that to be the time management. its not the time that help us to stay organized and streamlined, rather the keeping of time tracked matters a lot.

I appreciate your response and think your point is well taken.

The challenge for most of us is our ability to track time. I love this subject and will be writing lots more about it.

I would like to hear from you again.

      Thanks,
